OJSC Giprosvjaz specialists take part in Radiocommunication Assembly 2015

On October 26, 2015 the Radiocommunication Assembly 2015 (RA-15) was opened in ITU, Geneva, Switzerland. It brings together more than 1000 delegates from more than 100 ITU Member-States and more than 50 observers representing international and regional organizations, agencies, research and standardization institutions and telecom operators.
RA tasks are defined in ITU Constitution, Art. 13, ITU Convention, Art. 8 and ITU-R Resolution 1-5. Its tasks are to review the results of work of the Radiocommunication Bureau Study Groups: reports of the Director of the Radiocommunication Bureau, reports of Study Groups Chairmen, reports of advisory groups, etc.
RA is entitled to consider and approve revised or new ITU-R Resolutions; to approve, modify or reject Draft Recommendations in the reports of Study Groups Chairmen; to approve Draft Recommendations or any documents within the scope of its competencies. RA prepares scientific and technical decisions on controversial issues of WRC Agenda that is held on November 02-27, 2015.
The Communications Administration of the Republic of Belarus is represented by the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and OJSC Giprosvjaz.
Participation of Belarusian radiocommunications technical experts in RA-15 is dictated by the fact that several Draft Recommendations prepared during the work of Study Groups were submitted for RA approval. The Draft Recommendations are directly related to new allocation of radio frequencies in order to introduce IMT standards; allocation of radio frequencies bands in IMP bands; one of WRC Agenda points connected to the conditions of protection of terrestrial digital television broadcasting that are necessary to implement the State Program on digital terrestrial television broadcasting implementation.

The Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus № 518 dated from July 12, 2017 made some additions and changes to the Rules for the telecommunication services provision and the Rules for the of lines, communication structures and radio communications protection in the Republic of Belarus.
