Decree of the President of the Republic Belarus № 522 "Declaring 2016 the Year of Culture" was signed on December 28, 2015
The document was adopted in order to unify the intellectual and spiritual forces of society to meet the challenges of social and economic development of the country, preservation of historical and cultural heritage of folk traditions, education of the citizens of the love for the country, as well as support for creative initiatives.
Considerable attention will be given to activities in the field of art and culture, which is one of the main means of education in the youth patriotism and respect for the motherland.
