ITU regional workshop “Trends in the development of converged networks: post-NGN, 4G and 5G solutions”

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in collaboration with the Ukrainian State University of Telecommunications, will organize a regional seminar for the CIS countries and Georgia under the theme “Trends in the development of converged networks: post-NGN, 4G and 5G solutions”, which will be held on November 17-18, 2016 in Kiev, Ukraine.

This event is designed for ministries and departments representatives, regulators, telecom operators, research organizations, higher and secondary educational institutions, telecommunication equipment manufacturers and other engaged organizations from ITU member states, sector members and associate members of the ITU from the CIS countries and Georgia.

The main aim of the workshop is to share practical experience of building advanced telecommunication networks. In particular, the following issues will be discussed during the event:

– current post-NGN network development trends;

– telecommunication network services and  quality of service;

– mobile network planning and optimization;

– mobile network security;

– economic, legal and regulatory aspects of the 4G and 5G technologies introduction.

In addition workshop participants will be able to visit an exhibition of modern telecommunication equipment.
