Compulsory сertification

Compulsory certification of telecommunication devices in accordance with the National System for Conformity Attestation of the Republic of Belarus regulations will be put in place on February 1, 2017. Regarding this the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus gave the Authorities for certification a permission to carry out works on conformity assessment before that date. Compulsory certification objects can be found in the List of compulsory conformity assessment objects of the National System for Conformity Attestation of the Republic of Belarus, which was approved by the Resolution №849 dated 21.10.2016.

The start date for the conformity assessment  document will be the date of putting in place compulsory conformity assessment for a a batch of relevant products.

According to clause 3 of the Resolution №849, the requirements do not apply to the products, which became available in retail before the date of compulsory certification introduction.

Compulsory certification of telecommunication devices will be determined only in the part of technical regulations of the standards of the Republic of Belarus. It will be associated with the main parameters and characteristics of the physical layer interface, implementing communication protocols, encoded signals, the basic parameters of the quality control, management and interoperability, power and resistance to overvoltages and overcurrents. And also compulsory certification will apply to the requirements to the parameters of the radio frequency spectrum, radio electronic devices, electromagnetic compatibility and safety.

The requirements to energy efficiency of electrical power consuming devices do not apply to telecommunication devices.
